Anwalt is the German form of the English word “lawyer” and means “one who deals with legal issues”.
In Germany, Anwalts are lawyers who have studied law at university.
There are different types of Anwalts – some are specialists in particular fields, such as lawyers who work for the state, others are generalists, such as those who represent people who want to file lawsuits against companies.
They often deal with big cases and transactions (such as a bank loan, a contract or a divorce).
The main difference between an Anwalt and a lawyer is that an Anwalt has a degree in law and a lawyer has no such qualification.
Anwalts are also known as avocats, attorneys or barristers in the UK and US.
Their profession is a very sensitive one and they are protected by law against discrimination and harassment.
Throughout the past year, several prominent Pakistani lawyers and rights activists have been arrested.
The arrests were made because they have been arguing against a government policy that discriminates against Muslims and Islamist groups, including the Taliban and Al-Qaida.
They have been accused of being too aggressive in their legal advice or of promoting “terrorist ideology”.
This is a serious crime, and they should be charged accordingly.
These crimes are punishable by up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to ten times the original crime’s value, or a combination of both.
In addition, they are often sentenced to long prison terms and forced to pay a large sum of money for their legal defence.
As a result, they lose their jobs and are unable to provide for their families.
The plight of these Anwalts is just as bad in some other countries, such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
In the last year, three prominent lawyers and rights activists have been arrested in Pakistan, where they were safeguarding their livelihoods as much as their principles.
Besides the police, the prosecutors and judges were also involved in this scandal.
The CS-Verwaltungsratschef was charged with having tried to prevent a former employee from withdrawing money.
