The latest chapter in the legendary fighting game franchise arrives January 26 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It brings a whole new gameplay system with an emphasis on aggressive tactics, destructable stages, and unleashing Rage Arts that boost damage for a limited time. It also stars Kazuya Mishima (Jin Kazama’s father) and Heihachi Mashima, who are both antagonists for the first time since Tekken 3. Jun Kazama, who has an affinity with animals and observes them to improve her fighting skills, is back as well.
A FIGHTER FOR A NEW GENERATION
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, TEKKEN 8 pushes the limits of next generation hardware to deliver one of the most visually stunning and immersive gaming experiences to date. Featuring breathtakingly realistic and highly detailed character visuals, including skin, hair, clothing and even muscles that shift to reflect movement, the game delivers an authentic and heart-racing fight experience with high-fidelity graphics built from the ground up for the new generation of consoles.
The Tekken series has always been easy to pick up and play, and the 8th entry doesn’t disappoint. It boasts a massive roster of 32 fighters from the start, as well as multiple game modes to play alone or with friends online. It’s a winner for fans of flashy yet deep combat, and a worthy successor to the demanding Street Fighter II and ultraviolent Mortal Kombat. Plus, it’s loaded with extras like a story mode that flows from Hollywood-style cutscenes to over-the-top fights, and separate episodes that focus on specific characters. Buy Tekken 8
